Derwood died peacefully on Tuesday December 11 at B.I.D. Plymouth Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Derwood was born on Feb. 16, 1932 in Watertown, South Dakota to Golda and Arnold Rogge.  He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, retiring in 1969 after serving for over 20 years.  Derwood also retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1996.

He was a member of the Wareham Elks, the VFW Post in Monument Beach and South Meadow Village Association in Carver.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Sandra L (Parker) Rogge, beloved daughters Sandy Cook, Ginger Rogge, Cheryl McCarthy, Charlene St. Peter, son Derwood L Rogge Jr, very special grandsons James Cook, Joseph Cook, Justin Bock and granddaughters Christina Rientjes, Marlene Lien and 5 great grandchildren.

Derwood loved watching football.  He also bowled, golfed, played bocce and loved fresh water fishing and camping around the country with his wife Sandra.

He was well-loved and will be missed by many.

Visiting hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home 116 Main St, Carver Ma. on Monday December 17th from 2-4:00 PM with a funeral service set to begin at 4:00 pm.  Burial will be private on Tuesday December 18th at Massachusetts National Cemetery.
