Obituary of Anthony Gambino

Anthony “Tony” Gambino, of Hanson, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the age of 85. Born in Boston and raised in Dorchester, Tony lived the majority of his life in Hanson and Carver. He served in the Army during the Korean War and led officer training courses in Ft. Eustis, VA before returning to civilian life in 1955. Tony was an entrepreneur in his early career, owning a hairdressing salon in the Boston area. After moving to Hanson, Tony put himself through college to become a respiratory therapist at Morton Hospital in Taunton, a position he loved through to retirement. Tony was preceded in death by his wife, Laurie Gambino, and his siblings, Anna, Samuel, Russell, and Joseph. He is survived by his children, Brenda, Janet, Debi, Karen, Matthew and Kerri, his goddaughter Franny, and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St, Kingston on Tuesday, November 13, from 9:00 to 10:00AM. A Service will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home at 10:00AM.
