Obituary of Vivienne B. Hennessy
Vivienne Brenda Hennessy, 80, of Kingston, passed away on November 7th, at home with her family by her side. Vivienne was born in Plumstead, England, to William and Winifred Kempton (deceased). She moved to America in1964, where she married Jack Hennessy in 1968. They were married for 48 years before Jack passed away, and they are survived by their daughters, Kerry Hennessy and her wife, Mo Pantos, Kristen Dennis and her husband, Nathan, Jack’s daughtersBeth Hennessy and her wife Christy Murphy, and Katy Gehly and her husband Darryl. Vivienne had grandchildren from her daughters Kristen and Kerry; Phillippa, Madison, Jaxon and Lochlan, as well as Katy and Darryl’s son, Samuel. Vivienne’s cousin, Christopher Kitchenham, also moved to America just prior to Vivienne and they remained close throughout her life, along with his wife, Peggy, their son, Scott, and his wife, Jennifer. Vivienne succumbed to cancer after a 7 year battle and her family is hopeful that she and Jack are together again. Vivienne found joy in so many things, including, but not limited to: a good cup of tea made precisely her way, basking in the summer sun, a chilled glass of oaky chardonnay, a sleepy cat perched on her lap, and travelling with Jack. She touched many lives through church, tennis, her children’s friends and families, her career, and her love of travel. Services will be held at the Beal House in Kingston on Friday, November 16, to celebrate Vivienne with coffee and refreshments at 10am, followed by a church service across the street at the First Parish Unitarian Church to begin at 11:30am. Family and friends are invited to continue celebrating the life of Vivienne at East Bay Grille in Plymouth on the waterfront, one of Vivienne’s favorite places to meet friends and family. Flowers can be sent to The Beal House at 222Main Street, Kingston, MA 02364, or to Shepherd Funeral Home at 216 Main Street, Kingston, MA 02364.
