Obituary of John T. Young

John T. Young, (Ted), 77, of Carver, passed away on October 18, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Mary L. (Gushue) Young. Loving father to Curtis Young and his wife Karen, Elizabeth and her husband Brian Hubert, and Kathryn Young all of Carver. Son of the late George and Faith (Atwood) Young. Brother to Christine Demers and her husband the late Mark Demers of Carver, and George (Tim) E. Young, III and his wife Sandy of South Carolina. Cherished grandfather to Angela, Jillian, Bruce, and Faith.

Ted loved being outdoors whether it was working on the cranberry bogs, hunting, hanging out with friends, and enjoying his family. He especially cherished spending time with his grandchildren. 

"He was the patriarch of our family. He took care of all of us, and helped to guide us through life."

His granddaughter stated that Papa was the most humble and modest man.

"We cannot express how much he will be missed; a void we won't be able to fill."

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, October 22nd from 4-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St. (Rt. 58) Carver.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 23rd at 11:00 AM at  the United Parish Church, Carver.
