Obituary of Lewis Bither

Lewis “Peter” Bither , 62, of Mattapoisett, passed away after a brief illness on September 8, 2018.

Peter is survived by his partner of 30 years, Doris Foss, his family Nicole Papile and her husband Laurence, Wayne Mounce, Jr and his partner Hillary Turnbull, Jason Bither, Jillian Landry and her husband Michael, and Nathan Bither and his partner Kathy Zine. He is also survived by his sister Deborah Eacrett, and Gretchen Fish.

He was born in Newton-Wellesley hospital, and grew up in Carver. He graduated from Plymouth-Carver High School. Peter was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. He loved playing cards, and spending time outside in the gardens.

Peter’s infectious laugh and smile will go on in our hearts forever!

Memorial visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St (Rt. 58) Carver.
