Barbara Ann Allsopp, 75, of Plympton, formerly of Cleveland, OH passed away on September 6, 2018 at home in Plympton.

Barbara was born in Cleveland, OH to William and Geraldine Blackler on July 19th 1943. She graduated in Florida from Fletcher High School in 1961. She retired as a claims processor for Blue Cross Blue Shield. Barbara enjoyed gardening, traveling, cooking, trips to the beach, knitting, bike rides and being with family.  She volunteered for the Plympton Council on Aging.

Barbara is survived by her husband Alan Allsopp of Plympton, children Deborah Dunbar, Donna Barboza, Diane Campbell, Walter and Paula Dunbar, Adam and Christopher Allsopp, grandchildren David and wife Whitney Murphy, Robert and wife Julie Campbell, Caitlin and Tyler Allsopp, Dakota, Shaun,and Chris Jr. Allsopp, Lucas and Natalie Dunbar, cat Pepper and numerous nieces and nephews around the country. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents William and Geraldine Blackler, son Paul Dunbar and daughter Brittany Allsopp.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, September 13th from 4-7:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106), Kingston. A funeral service will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, on September 14th at 11:00 a.m  with Chaplain Rosemary of Hospice officiating. Reception will follow at Upland Sportsman Club, 76 Upland Rd, Plympton. 

Memorial donations may be made in her name to Cranberry Hospice 36 Cordage Park Circle, Suite 326 Plymouth, MA 02360.  The family wishes to extend their gratitude to everyone involved in her love, care and support.
