Dad Wagner: Although i didn't have the opportunity to spend as much time with you as I would've wished.. you were gone far too soon! The time that we did spend was priceless to me. You always had a quick wit, keen mind and insight, and a way to make everyone around you just feel comfortable and a part of things. When Matt told you that he wanted nothing more in life than to marry me, you helped him with the engagement ring.. one of the last gifts and the most treasured (I'm smiling at it as it rests on my finger even now) . At that point, i knew that you wanted me as a daughter-in-law, and I was excited to have you as another dad.. One of the most horrible calls Matt got was the news of your passing.. and we both deeply grieve your loss. Putting you to rest in Sydney Nova Scotia in August of 2023 was one of the hardest things we had to do, but we made sure that we explored that land that you love so much, and now know why you loved it so.. as we are starting to do. Thank you for everything Dad Wagner, for your kindness in making me feel so welcome, and I pray that you are truly Resting in Peace. -Kim

I met SCOTT Wagner the week of Carrie and Tommie Wedding . It was great getting acquainted with him So very proud he was of his family . We got together a few times and enjoyed sharing stories of the kids . It is with great sadness I convey my deepest sympathy to Carrie and all her families . To the grandchildren who were blessed to have had time to know him . They will remember him always . Having lost my father at a young age I can identify with all the thoughts and memories that are simultaneously crowding my thoughts, wanting to capture all the memories, lest I forget any one thing. I want the grief and feeling of loss to be pushed out So I can relish all the life I had with my dad. Who was My inspiration and my hero. Love you Carrie And love to all of you during this time,

It has been many years and I lost direct contact with Scott, as I moved to DC and pursued a legal career. I was saddened by his passing and in reviewing his obituary, realized we shared many interests after dealing with difficult childhoods. I would hear about Scott’s progtress from other friends and was happy he wotked with the local news industry. I regret not reaching out to him, but returning to Boston usually meant business travel or seeing my dad before he passed in 2010. Scott is in my thoughts. Kevin
