Robert J. “Robbie” Pringle, 60, of Kingston, formally of Quincy, succumbed to melanoma cancer and passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on August 15, 2018.Beloved husband of Pamela (Bock) Pringle. Devoted father of Janice (Pringle) Barret and her husband James, Rob Pringle Jr. and his wife Maggie, John Pringle and his wife Kourtney, all of Kingston. Loving “Papa” to his grandchildren Kaylee Anne, Ava Nicole, Travis Owen and James Patrick. Cherished son of the late John and Julia Pringle. Beloved brother of Sharon (Pringle) Deitsch and her late husband James, Dornae (Pringle) Steele and her late husband Phil, the late Sheila (Pringle) Trabucco and her late husband Howard (Buddy) Trabucco, Jack Pringle and his wife Jennifer, Dana Pringle and his wife Donna.
Robbie was raised and educated in Quincy; a member of the Quincy High School class of 1976. He worked for many years as a mechanic at the Sears auto service center in Braintree, as a car salesman at AutoLines in Whitman, and most recently he enjoyed his position of Facilities Manager at Blue Cross & Blue Shield in Rockland. Rob grew up in Germantown, a section of Quincy where he had lifelong friends from that neighborhood. It was there where he met his best friend and love of his life, Pam, at the age of 12 while attending Snug Harbor elementary school. Robbie and Pam have been inseparable ever since. In 1984Robbie moved his family to Malvern Lane in Kingston, where he and his wife Pam raised their 3 children. He became a part of the tight knit neighborhood, Malvern Lane, where both the parents were friends and their children grew up together and are still friends in adulthood. Robbie had a wonderful positive personality, the life of the party, the man everyone wanted to be around, providing great guidance, help and advice to all, whether you wanted it or not! His pride was in his family and would proudly boast about how blessed he was to have an amazing life. At a moment’s notice he would go to his family and friends houses to assist them in whatever they needed, he would teach anyone how to fix their cars in his garage, as long as they put the tools back in the exactly correct spot in the tool box and were completely clean. Robbie was a neat freak who would be seen washing his cars several times a week. He was extremely active, a member of the Kingsbury Club. He was a lifelong hockey player and played league and pickup games right up until the end.
Robbie will be missed by all that knew him.
