Obituary of Gregory Thomas Kettell

Gregory Thomas Kettell, 53, of Braintree, passed away on August 6, 2018. Beloved father of Kelsey and Justin Kettell. Loving son of the late Tom and Penny Kettell. Brother to Jeff Kettell and his wife Lynne, Suellen Canty and her late husband Steve, Scott Kettell and his wife Lori, Darcey Lyons and her husband Mike, Leanne Parziale and her husband John, Darlene Jolls and her husband Chris. Gregory is also survived by his Aunts Stephanie Peterson, Maryann Mahony and her husband John, also by his 16 nieces and nephews, and many cousins.

Gregory was raised in Braintree, and is a graduate of Braintree High School class of 1982. He served as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corp from 1982-1986, and also served in the reserves until 1988. He earned a certificate in computer electronics from Wentworth Institute of Technology in 1994. Greg went on to be a dedicated worker as a mail handler for the US Post Office for 23 years from 1995-2018. Greg enjoyed following UFC and baseball, collecting antiques, and spending time with his family.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, August 13th from 4-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St, (Rt.106) Kingston. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 14th at 11:00 AM  at the Shepherd Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at the MA National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:00 PM.
