Paul and I were friends for over 30 years. Time spent with Paul was always a gift for me. He had a knack of peeling away the trivial and insignificant and exposing the truth. Paul had a keen moral compass but he didn't impose his views on others. Many is the time that I wished for Paul's council on a matter that was vexing to me. I didn't see him as much in recent years as I would have liked but it was always comforting to know that he was there. Its painful to know that I will never sit down with him again and enjoy his insight and his humor. To me Paul has always been an example of human spirit overcoming difficult circumstances. Paul, you will be sorely missed.
