Marjorie E. (Marge) McLean, 90, of Marshfield, MA passed away peacefully at home on July 13, 2018.

Visiting hours followed by a service with Reverend Catherine Cullen of First Parish Church will be held at Shepherd Funeral Home in Kingston, MA on Friday, July 27th from 3-6:00 PM with a service set to begin at 6:00 PM. Burial will be held at a later date and will be private. Shepherd Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements.

Marge was born in Rockland, MA to Ralph and Grace Belcher on July 23, 1927. She was a 1945 graduate of Rockland High School. She went on to earn her associate’s degree from Westbrook Junior College in 1947 where she was president of her class and subsequently the Boston Alumnae Club. Marge’s career spanned over 20 years as an administrative assistant in multiple settings, most notably she was the second secretary of R. Sargent Shriver, Director of the Peace Corps from 1961-1966. Marge was an active volunteer in her community at the Duxbury Senior Center, The Talking Information Center in Marshfield and The First Parish Church in Duxbury to name a few.

Marge is survived by her beloved daughter, Nancy M. Wyant of Marshfield, MA and her husband Richard. Her beloved son, Jeffrey B. McLean of Kingston, MA and his wife Deborah and her four beautiful grandchildren Caroline (Cally) and Paige Wyant of Marshfield and Jake and Ava McLean of Kingston. She is preceded in death by her beloved Husband, Richard J. McLean of Duxbury, Ma her sister, Sylvia Tattersall of Newburyport, Ma and her parents Ralph and Grace Belcher of Rockland, MA.
