Obituary of Richard L. Ewell

Richard L. Ewell, 79, of  Pembroke passed away on June 2, 2018.  Loving husband of the late Cynthia (Coffey) Ewell. Loving father to Nancy Ewell of Pembroke, Jennifer Abdelnour and her husband Philip of Winchester, NH, and Adam Ewell and his wife Kate of Halifax. Son of the late Nelson and Rose (Everett) Ewell. Brother to Melvin Ewell and his late wife Sondra of Pembroke, and Marlene Wilbur and her husband Ernest of Duxbury. Cherished grandfather of 6, and great grandfather of 2. 

Richard was a veteran of the US Army and was proud of the fact that he was a 35 year Member of Roofers Union, Local 33.  More than anything Richard enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Known to many as "Dicky", he was very well liked and will be remembered for his abilities to make friends laugh.  He also enjoyed square dancing, Country music and was a lifetime fan of the New England Patriots.

Visitng hours will be held on Thursday, June 7th from 5-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St (Rt. 14) Pembroke. A funeral service will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home on Friday, June 8th at 11:00 AM. A graveside service will follow at Fern Hill cemetery in Hanson.
