William J. Green “Bill”, 86, of Kingston passed away at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, with his family by his side, on May 26, 2018. Born in Cambridge, he is the son of the late Oscar and Gladys (Russell) Green. 

Beloved husband of 64 years to Patricia Green. Loving father of William and Janyce Hand of Plymouth, Bruce and Joanne Creed of Plymouth, and Cindy and David Alexander of Cohasset. Brother in law to Barbara Dillon of Phoenix, AZ, and Virginia Caso of Franklin. Cherished grandfather to his four grandchildren; Ashley Green of Los Angeles, CA, Amy Green of Plymouth, Justin Alexander of Hingham, and Kristin Alexander of Cohasset. 

 

Bill served in the US Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Anchorage, AL. He worked at Raytheon and Polaroid where he was the Operations Administrator for the Camera Division. He took an early retirement to begin W.J. Green and Sons Painting. He recently received his 50 year pin as a mason at Pequossette Lodge in Watertown, and was also affiliated with the Phoenix Lodge in Hanover.

 

There will be an hour of memorial visitation on Monday, June 4th, from 11-12:00, with a memorial service et to begin at 12:00. 

 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in William’s memory to: American Cancer Society, 5 Manley St, W. Bridgewater, MA 02379.
