On Wednesday, May 23, 2018, Mary Mayo (Twohig), wife, mother, daughter and sister passed away suddenly at the age of 49 years.  Mary was born January 30, 1969 in Bronx, NY to William Twohig and Maureen (Coleman) Twohig.  She grew up in Kingston, MA where she currently resided.  Mary was a dedicated teacher at the Kingston Elementary School, devoted member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and much loved host family to international students of Sacred Heart High School.  Mary loved vacationing on Nantucket and Long Island with her family and extended family.  Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her children watching them play soccer, hockey as well as Irish step dancing and theater performances. 

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 25 years, Mike and their children William, Michael and Alexa.  Mary will also be deeply missed by her parents William and Maureen Twohig, her sister Bonnie Cardarelli (Twohig) and her husband John and their children Kevin, Bridget and Cameron.  A cherished daughter-in law to Michael and Mary Mayo, and sister-in law to Aaron and Valerie Flores (Mayo) of Texas and their children Aaron and Gabrielle.  Mary will also be forever remembered by extended families- the Sgarzis, McCarthys, Twohigs and Marders.  

Family and friends are invited to the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, Kingston on Tuesday, May 29th from 4-8 PM to celebrate her life.  There will be a 10AM funeral mass on Wednesday, May 30th at St. Joseph Church, 272 Main Street, Kingston.  Memorial donations in memory of Mary may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society 272 Main St., Kingston MA 02364.
