Obituary of James E. Leopardi, Jr.

Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

James E. Leopardi, Jr, 52, of Mansfield, formerly of Weymouth, passed away on May 19, 2018. Loving, supportive father and best friend of David Leopardi and fiancé Katherine Hazen of Lincoln, NE and Michael Leopardi of Pawtucket, RI. Beloved son of Donna Leopardi and the late James E. Leopardi, Sr. Jim is survived by his sisters Carol Gibbons and her husband Richard of Kingston, MA, and Sharon Schneier and her husband David of Raleigh, NC. He was the

Cherished companion of Laura Watson of Methuen, MA. James is also survived by his Uncle Fred Leopardi and Aunt Barbara Leopardi, his Godson and nephew Andrew Gibbons, niece Amanda Moak and her husband Charles, and nephews Spencer and Ben Schneier, countless loving cousins, extended family and friends.

Jim Leopardi lived everyday of his life to the fullest; loving and laughing easily. He could always be found with a smile on his face on a baseball field (preferably with his sons), preparing a delicious meal for his friends and family at the grill, or enjoying the salt air at the beach.

Jim was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Weymouth in 1984. He received his Associate of Science degree from Dean College in 2003 and Bachelor of Science from UMass in 2012.

He was a passionate and proud member of the Melrose Pondfielders Vintage Baseball Club.

He enjoyed photographing nature and ocean scenery, time with family and friends and relaxing on the patio. Jim enjoyed all things Pirate and celebrated his 52nd Birthday Pirate style with close family. He fought bravely with a smile on his face and “no sorry’s allowed”.

An hour of memorial visitation will take place on Friday, May 25th from 10-11:00 with a service set to begin at 11:00 at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to:
