Obituary of Timothy Paul Engel

Timothy Paul Engel, 27, passed away peacefully surrounded by his closest family and friends at Boston Medical Center on March 23, 2018 after an extended illness.  He was born at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, MA and spent his youth in Pembroke, MA.  He loved outdoor activities and sports, especially hockey. In 2013, he followed his brother, Bobby, into the U. S. Army where he served in Alaska with the 2nd Battalion, 377th Parachute Field Artillery Regiment, 25th Infantry Division.
 
After three plus years of service, having attained the rank of Specialist 4 (SP4), Tim was honorably discharged from the Army to resume his Business Administration studies in Accounting and Finance at Massasoit College under the G. I. Bill, where he was due to graduate this spring. He was also active in the Army reserves while working part-time at a local business. 
 
Visiting hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home in Pembroke from 4-8:00 pm on March 29th.  Timothy will be buried with full military honors at the Veterans’ Administration Cemetery in Bourne, MA on April 5th.  
 
He is survived by his loving parents, Robert W., and Pamela J. Engel, his brother, Robert M. Engel, his uncles, aunt,grandparents, and many close friends and family members.
 
In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution in his memory to the American Red Cross or towards research at Boston Medical Center or to any reputable veterans’ organization.
