Obituary of Vija Berzins

Vija Berzins of Duxbury, August 31st. She was 69 years old. Beloved daughter of the late Arvids and Lucija (Ezitis) Berzins. Dear sister of the late Ilmars, Ruta, and Janis Berzins. Survived by her sister Inta Berzins of Duxbury; her nephews: John Berzins and wife Jackie of Oakland, CA, William Berzins of Nashua, NH and Paul Berzins and wife Laura of North Andover. Loving grand aunt of Oscar and Lucas Berzins of Oakland, CA. Duxbury High alumni of 1959 and 52 year employee of Plymouth Registry of Deeds. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, September 6th from 4-8:00PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106), Kingston. A funeral service will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home on Wednesday September 7th at 10:00 AM. Internment will be at the Mayflower cemetery in Duxbury. As a lifelong Red Sox fan, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Vija’s memory to the Jimmy Fund.
