Thelma was such a wonderful mother, wife, friend, and neighbor. I would chat with her weekly for at least an hour and most times laugh, laugh, laugh. I will miss her so much and loved her like a mother. She was such a joy in so many lives. She was my mothers friend for many years until my mother passed away in 1979. If I called her up on the phone during the week she would say to me "What are you doing home shouldn't you be at work ?" and we would laugh together. Love You Thelma.

Our deepest condolences to Dougie, Brian , John and their families. I can't tell you how many fond memories I have of your mom. Whenever I've visited your mom would always greet me with a warm smile and a loving hug. Even after leaving Kingston whenever I came back to visit I would always make it a point to stop by and visit with your mom. She was always genuingly interested in how things were going on in my life. As you probably know your mom touched many peoples lives and had a very positive influence in my life. Love Bob MacNeill and family

Thelma.... It's so hard to imagine our neighborhood without you. When we first moved in 17 years ago you were the first one to come over and welcome us, freshly baked cranberry bread in hand, beginning our knowing your caring and loving presence right next door. I will miss our long conversations often filled with your rich local and family history(always lovingly told)and the feeling that I had another Mom looking out for us only a few steps away (and vice versa). I know you didn't get to meet baby Ava, yet I believe somehow you can since she is so fresh to us from Gods embrace and you now with Him in His everlasting love and peace. Please know you are loved, missed, and will always be remembered fondly. ....Sylvia

Our most sincere condolences to Brian, John, and Doug -- and the entire Holmes family. We know she was so thrilled to visit with so many of you at your recent reunion. We were so lucky to have Thelma in our lives as a dear friend and neighbor, and considered her a member of our family as well. We loved her very much and wish her peace and a joyful reunion with Wendell and those family members and friends she missed so much. Our prayers are with you all.
