Hazel (Robinson) Foley of Kingston, formally of Whitman, died July 16, 2011 at the age of 89. She was the wife of the late Alfred Foley. She served on the Old Colony Elderly Service Board of Directors for over 20 years, served on the Board of the Kingston Council on Aging since 1996, and volunteered on numerous other committees throughout her life. She received the President’s Volunteer Service Award in 2010 from RSVP. She was a member of St. Joseph’s parish. Hazel worked for many years as an aide for the Whitman Public Schools. She graduated with a Bachelors degree from UMASS Boston when she was 60 years old. She is survived by her six children and their spouses: Alfred Foley (Roberta) of Wareham; Maureen Levesque (Ken) of Florida; Dottie Kelley (Daniel) of Plymouth; John of Nashville, TN; Patty Bossa (Tom) of Florida; and Margaret Trevains of Dorchester. Hazel leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of Jeanne Magner of Scituate and the late Phyllis Benoit of Rehoboth. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, July 20th from 3-7:00PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, July 21st at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, Kingston. Internment will be at the MA National Cemetery in Bourne. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to St. Joseph Church, 268 A Main Street, Kingston, MA 02364 or Cranberry Hospice. 36 Cordage Park, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360.
