Obituary of Anna L. Hamilton

Anna L. Hamilton, of Kingston, passed away at the Life Care Center in Plymouth, on July 10, 2011, three days short of her 100th birthday. Anna was born in Wakefield, and raised in Nova Scotia. She came to the United States in her early 20's. Anna was a wonderful cook, seamstress, gardener, and was very talented in many ways. The true loves of her life were her children and her grandchildren. Beloved mother of Robert L. Hamilton and his wife Joan of MD, Nancy E. and her husband Norman Shepherd of Kingston, Jayne L. and her husband James Darsch of Kingston, Joanne and her husband Steven Bell of FL, and the late John R. Hamilton III, James W. Hamilton, Peter Hamilton, and Charles E. Hamilton. Anna is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, as well as 4 sisters in Canada, and many nieces and nephews. An hour of visitation will be held on Friday, July 15th from 8:30 - 9:30AM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph's Church in Kingston on Friday, at 10:00AM. Internment will be at Evergreen cemetery in Kingston. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Cranberry Area Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360, and/or Reach Inc., whose purpose is to empower adults with disabilities, at 20 Middle St, Plymouth, MA 02360, or to a charity of your choice.
