Obituary of Robena A. Leatherbee

Robena A. (Anthony) Leatherbee, of Kingston, passed away July 8 at the Jordan Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Robert W. Leatherbee. Born in Newport, RI, she was the daughter of the late George and Robena (King) Anthony. Robena grew up on the family farm until the family moved to Hanover, MA.She was a graduate of Hanover High School. Robena had a unique style and personality which enabled her to create her long established business Robena's Hair Salon in Kingston. These last several years she drew her strength from the peace and contentment she found in the home she and her husband Robert built and she decorated and landscaped. It gave her security along with her beloved dog Pepsi. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brothers Kenneth Anthony and his wife Karen of Kingston and George Anthony and his late wife Linda of Halifax, her mother-in-law Jane C. Leatherbee of Quincy, her brother-in-law Richard J. Leatherbee of Hingham and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. Rt. 106, Kingston, on Wed. July 13 at 11:00AM. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Kingston. Visiting hours on Tues. 4-8PM.
