Harold Brockway, of Plymouth, passed away on June 20, 2011. He was 87 years old. Born in Brooklyn, NY on Feb. 19, 1924, he was the son of Alvin and Idabel (Dayton) Brockway. Mr. Brockway served in the US Navy from 1942 - 1960, and served during World War II. He worked in the auto body industry for over 50 years, and retired from B&B Auto Body in Plymouth,MA in March, 2011. He loved to vacation with his family on Cape Cod as well as in Rangely, ME. Harold had a great sense of humor, had a great attitude towards life, and loved to spend time with his children, and grandchildren. Beloved husband of the late Mary E. (Dickson) Brockway. Loving father of Mary and William Prescott of NV, Catherine and William Podielsky of Plympton, Donna and Robert Paula of Bridgewater, Cindy and Doug Gregory of ME, and Mark Brockway of Halifax. Brother of the late Alvin Brockway and Idabel (Bubby) Baxter. Cherished grandfather of Bill Podielsky of Lakeville, Michael Podielsky of Plympton, Joanne Gray of WV, John Lawson of WV, Donna Lawson of Middleboro, Christine Corkum of Stoughton, Dave Johnson of Norwell, Jennifer Caryl of FL, Eric Foley of Auburn, ME, Amanda Foley of Whitman, and Maureen Brockway of Plymouth. Harold is also survived by 17 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 23rd from 3-7:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St (Rt. 58) Carver. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Harold's name to: Jordan Hospital Cancer Center, 275 Sandwich St, Plymouth, MA 02360
