Obituary of Barbara L. Poole

Barbabra L. (Parlee) Poole, of Pembroke, passed away on April 6, 2011. She was 84 years old. Barbara was born, raised, and educated in Quincy, and is a graduate of Quincy High School. Following her graduation from high school, she attended and graduated from Burdett College in Boston. In 1991 Barbara retired from Ocean Spray, where she was an executive secretary. She enjoyed gardening, and animals, especially dogs.
Beloved wife of Sherman Poole. Cousin to Alice Laycock of Quincy, and Harriet Sheaff of Quincy and their families. Grand daughters Deborah Morris of SC, Nancy Flowers of Washington, and their father Edward Flowers of Marshfield.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, April 10th from 2-4:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St (Rt. 14) Pembroke. A funeral service will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home on Monday, April 11th at 11:00 AM. Internment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Norwell Visiting Nurse Assoc, NVNA and Hospice, 91 Longwater Circle, Norwell, MA 02061 and/or MSPCA-Angell Headquarters, 350 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130.
