Obituary of Chester J. Hankey

Chester J. Hankey Jr. of Punta Gorda Fl formerly of Kingston MA passed away Feb. 28, 2011 at the age of 88. Chester was the loving husband of the late Shelia E. (Ahern) Hankey. Father of Jeremiah J. Hankey and brother of Paul Hankey and also survived by several nephews and nieces. Chester was an Army WWII Veteran, a Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus in Kingston, a member of the VFW of Kingston and a member of the Hanover American Legion. Chester and his wife Shelia moved to Florida about 12 yrs. ago and was on the Board of Directors of the Villa Manor in Punta Gorda Fl. Calling hours will be held Thurs. March 10th from 4-8pm at the Shepherd Funeral Home 216 Main St. (Rte 106) Kingston, MA. A funeral Mass will be held at 10am on Fri. March 11th at St. Joseph’s Church Main St. (Rte 106) Kingston with a burial with Military honors at St. Joseph’s Cemetery Elm St. Kingston.
