Obituary of Carol A. Reed

Carol Ardelle Macomber Reed, a lifelong resident of Pembroke, passed away on March 2, 2011. She was 87 years old. Carol worked for the Ocean Spray Co. as well as Atlantic Research in Hanover. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Pembroke. Carol enjoyed painting her porcelain dolls, and spending time at her cottage on Coast Guard beach in Eastham. Beloved wife of the late Francis “Frank” Reed. Loving mother of Sandra Lee O’Fihelly and her husband James of Kingston, Pamela Carol LaCross and her husband Gerald of Enterprise, AL, Janice Macomber Chandler and her husband Calvin of Middleboro, and Sylvia Frances Reed and her husband Gerard Thibodeau of Pembroke. Daughter of the late Stanley J. and Grace Macomber. Sister of Marjorie Macomber Smith of Pembroke. Cousin of Drake Macomber and his wife Rene of Plymouth. Cherished grandmother of 9, great grandmother of 10, and great great grandmother of 1. Memorial visitation of Saturday, March 12th from 11-12:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St (Rt. 14) Pembroke. Internment will be at the Center cemetery in Pembroke.
