Obituary of John R. Piers

John Robert Piers, 67, of Carver, formerly of S. Boston and Middleboro, died on December 31, 2010. He was the husband of Janice (Cordeiro) Piers. In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughter, Anne Piers of NH, April Elias and her husband Edward of Carver, and survived by five sons John Piers of NC, Robert Piers and his wife Vanessa of NC, Joseph Piers of NH, Anthony Piers and his wife Jennifer of Bridgewater, and Bruce Oliver of Carver. He was the brother of the late Ronald Piers and is survived by his sister Alice (Piers) O'Connor of S. Boston. He is also a grandfather of 15, and survived by several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, January 5th from 3-7:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St. (Rt. 58) Carver. A funeral service is set to begin at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
