Roy C. Brown Jr. 82 of Carver, died Saturday December 11th at W. Roxbury Veteran’s Hospital surrounded by his family. Beloved husband of Judy Brown for over 50 years. He was the son of late Roy and Jeannie Brown of Corn Hill , New Brunswick , Canada . He was the father of 5 children and 10 grandchildren. Born in Malden, MA., raised in Corn Hill, New Brunswick. He served as Staff Sergeant in The U.S. Marine Corp. After getting married, he lived in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. with his wife for 12 years and then relocated to Marshfield, where they lived for 36 years. He had recently retired with his wife to Carver. Mr. Brown owned and operated Brown’s Repair Shop for over 30 years. He was known as someone who could fix anything. He spent his free time tinkering, fixing things, reading, watching and feeding birds, gardening, and providing support and love to his wife, children, and grandchildren. His friendliness and generosity were known to many in the South Shore area. Mr. Brown is survived by his wife Judy, his daughter Debra Galloway and her husband Steve of Framingham, son, Roy Brown III and Ruth Brown of Plymouth, daughter Pam Russo and her husband Jeff of Plymouth, son Walter Brown and his wife Sandy of Plymouth, and son Peter Brown of Carver. His grandchildren, Roy IV, Kristyn and Kaylee Brown, Christopher and Nicole Russo, Nathan and Jeremy Galloway, Ashlee Brown, and Kaitlyn and Emily Brown will miss him dearly. Brother of the late Rosalee Perron. He is also survived by his sister, Joan Maguire of GA, and brother, William Brown of New Brunswick as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements by the Shepherd Funeral Home, Kingston . At the request of Mr. Brown and his family, all services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Middleborough Veteran's Outreach Center - www.middleboroughoutreach.org - and the Fisher House for families of veterans in West Roxbury - www.fisherhouseboston.org.
