Joseph A. Brodeur, Jr., of Kingston, sadly passed away on December 3, 2010. He was 85 years old. Joseph was a Navy veteran of World War II, and served on five different aircraft carriers. He was employed by Tubular Rivet, a Townshend Co. in Wollaston. Joseph was the President of Local 1451 Aerospace Workers and Machinist Union for 28 years. He was a self made, devoted family man, who quietly spread his generosity through his life to help those less fortunate. He will be lovingly missed.
Beloved husband of 63 years to the late Jean E. Brodeur. Loving father of Robert Brodeur of Fairhaven, Jeanne Diorio and her husband Thomas of Rochester, and Robin Brodeur of Carver. Cherished grandfather of Michael Joseph Bromberg, Bonnie Lee Pierce, Adam Joseph Diorio, Matthew Thomas Diorio, Michelle Smith, Rachel Brodeur, Bobby Brodeur, and the late Jacqueline Marie Bromberg. Great grandfather of Madison Smith, Meghan Smith, Samantha Brodeur, and Ava Brodeur.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 7th at 10:00 AM at the Shepherd Fuenral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. Internment will be at St. Joseph cemetery in Plymouth.
