Obituary of George B. Hutchison

George B. Hutchison, of Kingston, passed away Nov 25 after a long illness. He grew up in Weymouth, the son of George & Athena Hutchison. He was a graduate of Weymouth High School, attended Franklin Tech. Institute and was a Service Technician for Sears for 31 years. He lived in Quincy, then Braintree for 38 years before moving to Kingston 5 years ago. He was a member of the Braintree Sons of Italy for years, the Braintree Rifle & Pistol Club, Braintree Men's Club and a 49 year member of the Craft, Delta Masonic Lodge, AF & AM, 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite, and a member of the Society in Dedham for Apprehension of Horse Thieves and an Honorary Deputy Sheriff of Norfolk County.George loved to hunt and fish, and was an avid snowmobiler in Maine, NH, and Vermont for 20 years. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joan (Paronich) Hutchison, his daughter, Donna Govoni, son in law Michael Govoni, and 3 grandchildren, Jessica, Jeffrey, and Sarah, all of Hanson, a brother, John Newell Hutchison of Pompano Beach, FL, a sister, Virginia Burke of Contoocook, NH, and his best friend, brother in law John Paronich and his wife Robertha of Braintree. A Memorial Service will be held on Wed. Dec. 1 at 7:00PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St., Rt. 106, Kingston, MA, preceded by visiting hours from 6-7PM. Donations in his memory may be made to "The Friends of the Council on Aging", Reed Community House, 33A Summer St., Kingston, MA 02364 or the Joslin Diabetes Foundation, 1 Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215.
