Obituary of Marilyn A. Parsons

Please share a memory of Marilyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Marilyn Ann Parsons, 65, Kingston, Mass, died unexpectedly from a stroke while working in her garden November 21. She was born on Sept 11, 1945, in Bryant, Texas, the daughter of Edward and Barbara ( Moynihan ) Drinan. She is survived by her husband Russell Parsons, a daughter Laurel Parsons, a son David Parsons and two grandchildren, Emma Parsons and Cory Parsons. One of eight children, she is also survived by three sisters and four brothers: Cathleen Drinan, Elaine Murphy and her husband Neal, Carole Whelan and her husband Rick, Edward Drinan, Paul Drinan, David Drinan and his wife Helen, Michael Drinan and his wife Stephanie. Marilyn is, undoubtedly, the favorite aunt of her fifteen nieces and nephews, and even more so, the favorite of her seven siblings. She graduated from Weymouth High School in 1963, and after a series of employment ventures, worked as a title examiner in Plymouth County, for the past seventeen years. Marilyn, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, a talented gardener, insightfully knowledgeable of architecture and interior design, a sympathic listener and a generous friend will best be remembered for being very, very funny. Family and friends may visit with Marilyn on Sunday from 4 - 8:00 pm at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. A service will be held at The First Parish Unitarian Church, at 2:00 PM on Monday, followed by a stroll to the Evergreen Cemetery, Kingston, and then to a refreshment reception at the Beal Public Meeting House, from 4 to 6:00 PM.
