Obituary of Dorothy MacWalter

Dorothy (Hayden) MacWalter, of Pembroke, formerly of Braintree passed away on October 27, 2010 at the age of 94. The beloved wife of the late Andrew MacWalter, she is survived by her two sons, Glenn MacWalter of Glendale, AZ, and his wife Carol, and James MacWalter of Pembroke and his wife Joyce. She also leaves eight grandchildren, and nineteen great grandchildren. Dorothy was a member of South Congregational Church in Braintree for over 60 years. She was an active member of the church woman’s club. She also helped make many handmade dolls for the church fairs. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, and puzzles. She loved children, and took care of her many nieces and grand and great grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, October 31st from 2-6:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St. (Rt. 14) Pembroke. A graveside service will be held at the Blue Hills cemetery in Braintree on Monday, November 1st at 11:00 AM.
