Obituary of Paul D'Antuono
Please share a memory of Paul to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Paul J. D'Antuono, a life long resident of Duxbury, died unexpectedly, after a brief illness at age 46. He is the beloved son of the late Carole A. (Lennon) D'Antuono and Arthur R. D'Antuono and his sister, Julie Ann D'Antuono, all of Duxbury. He was the grandson of the late Minnie and Henry Lennon and Marie and John D'Antuono. He was loved by many aunts and uncles: Gerry Abban, Boston, Marcia Astuto, Whitman, the late Joan Coleman, Claire and Phil Doyle, Halifax, Jack and Jean D'Antuono, Las Vegas, Linda D'Antuono, Brockton, Jack and Mary Lennon, Bourne, the late Joseph Lennon, and Ann Reilly, Kingston. He is also survived by a great many cousins, dear friends, former co-workers and his many pets.
A graduate of Duxbury High School, Paul also attended Northeastern University for Accounting/Finance and Wentworth Institute of Technology for mechanical engineering. Paul was a long time Boston Globe employee until his retirement last year. He worked as a skilled pressman for 20 years.
An avid car buff and bicycle rider, he was happiest rebuilding old cars and bikes and was known for always having either a car project underway or bike parts in his living room. He was the family "fix it" guy and always ready to help out with any project when asked. He spent many happy summer days on the waters of Duxbury Bay with his friends and family, swimming and sailing.
He will always be remembered by all who knew and loved him for his generosity, kind heart and sense of humor. He was ever willing to help others and was a benefactor to many charities during his lifetime.
He touched us all in many ways and will be forever in our hearts and prayers.
