Obituary of Frances N. Teixeira

Frances N. Teixeira, 93 years old died October 6th at Good Samaritan Hospital, in Brockton from a weak heart after colon surgery Oct.1st. Frances was born Sept.4 1917 in Hanson’s Monponsett section of Ferris St. Last survivor and one of six children to Miguel and Amalie Santos. She married Manuel L. Teixeira Dec 26, 1936 and later moved to Midland, PA then bought a house in East Liverpool, OH. Her husband having served in the Navy during the War worked in the Steel Mill in Midland, PA. Frances was also a welder during the war and worked on the PT boats. They had three daughters Rita, Florence and Joyce Ann. When her husband passed away in February 1976 Frances moved back to Massachusetts. She joined the Catholic Daughters Ct. Pope John Paul, II #2244 in 1983. She leaves her daughters, son-in laws, grandchildren Lissa Ann Brown, Manuel Jackman, Michelle Ann Fleming, Carla and Anthony Jackson and Maria Fontes Nunes, great grand children Melissa & Anthony Harrell, Great grandchildren Amanda Kaye Brown, Matthew, Jordan, Christina , and Manuel Jackman, Naja Monterio, Nya and Ania Jackson, and Jayden Nunes ,great great grand children Angela, Heather, Shawn and Noah Harrell. Family and Friends may pay their respect at Shepherds Funeral Home 7 Mattakeesett St. Pembroke (Rte. 14), MA from 4 to 8 p.m. on October 13th and are welcome to gather at the funeral home Thurs. Oct. 14th at 8am with a 9 am Mass at Our Lady of the Lake Church, Monponsett St., Halifax (Rte. 58), Interment is at St. Patricks Cemetery in Wareham, MA.
