Obituary of Joanne Drinkwater

Joanne Drinkwater of Plymouth passed away Saturday August 7th, at the age of 36 due to injuries sustained from an automobile accident. She was the daughter of Edward Drinkwater of Kingston and Jinia (Cross) Drinkwater of Duxbury. Joanne is survived by her brothers; Mark Drinkwater of Jamaica Plain, Christopher Drinkwater of TX, John Michael Drinkwater of CA and her sister Elyse McPherson and her husband Craig of Kingston. She is also survived by her nieces Nora and Caroline McPherson and her Uncle and Aunt, Jack and Margot Drinkwater of NH.
Joanne was a graduate of Tufts University and the Museum School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. She was a member of the Cohasset Art Association and was a former employee of RF Morse in Plymouth. Joanne loved to be creative through both her painting and gardening. She had a way with animals, especially her dog “Scully”. Passing her gift of art onto her nieces was also important to her. Her paintings serve as a reminder for her love of nature and her love for her family. Calling hours will be held Friday August 13th from 9-10:30 am at Shepherd Funeral Home 216 Main St. (Rte 106) Kingston MA. A funeral Mass will follow at 11:00am at Holy Family Church on Tremont St. in Duxbury MA. Interment will be private.
