Obituary of Thomas F. Curran

Thomas F. Curran of Plymouth, MA. passed away at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA at the age of 63.
He was the Beloved Husband of Sue (Jessop, Dooley) Curran. Son of the late Francis and Catherine (McGuire) Curran. Father of Cathy of Sacramento, CA, Gail, Tommy and Michael and Hope of Citrus Heights CA, Chris and Kate of Pembroke, MA and Step Children Erika and Adam Hines of Hudson NH. Brother of Joanna and Hank Cameron of FL, Terri and Alex Davie of Middleton, MA and Mo and Michael Crawford of Melrose, MA. Papa to Mekayla, Alexandria, Ayden, Tess, Reese, Lilly, Lukas and Emma Rae. Many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
Tom was born in Lynn and raised in Saugus. Tom raised his family in Pembroke with former wife Jane. During this time he was active in the following organizations: the Jaycees and Treasurer of Pembroke Youth Hockey (PYH). He also coached his children in their various sporting activities.
Tom served in the Army. He was a VP at Maximus, Inc. and employed with the state of Massachusetts; both in Employment Security and the Executive Offices of Health and Human Services.
Tom's passion for golf included: His membership at the Country Club of Halifax, His trips to Myrtle Beach and Palm Springs, and the annual Magpie Tournament in Sacramento, Ca.
Papa took comfort in playing and reading with his adoring grandchildren.
Tom enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially dinners and the 4th of July family BBQ's. He looked forward to traveling to visit his loved ones.
Tom found peace and serenity at the beach.
Calling Hours will be held on Wed Aug 4,2010 at the Shepherd Funeral Home 7 Mattakeesett St (RT 14) PEMBROKE from 4-8pm. A Funeral Services will be held on Thur Aug 5,2010 at the First Church in Pembroke at 10am. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Center Cemetery Pembroke. Donation can be made to The Special Olympics 512 Forrest St Marlborough, Ma 01752 or The Charity of your Choice.
