Mariana J. Laudermilk, 72 of Duxbury died peacefully at home on July 19th, after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Pottstown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond D. and Dorothea (Williams) Urner. A 1961 graduate of Eastern Nazarene College, she taught elementary school in Hingham until leaving to raise her family. Years later she substitute taught at Alden Elementary School in Duxbury until retiring in 1991 to spend time with her family that she loved so much. Her love of life included family, church, sailing, gardening, walking and in particular spending time with her granddaughters.
Mariana leaves behind her husband of 49 years Jack Laudermilk; her children, Kevin and his wife Susan (Eatough) Laudermilk of Plymouth, and Kelly (Laudermilk) and her husband Rob Waltermire of Duxbury; her siblings David and his wife Barbara Urner of Royersford, PA and Suzana (Urner) and her husband David Lindsey of Beverly, MA; granddaughters Rebecca and Hannah; many nieces and nephews; beloved friends; and grand-dog Gracie Belle.
