Obituary of Edward A. McGurr

Edward Albert McGurr, of Carver, formerly of Quincy and Weymouth, died on July 6, 2010. He was 81 years old. Edward was a devoted husband of 61 years, and a loving father, and grandfather. He is a Navy veteran, and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and gardener, and a lover of dogs. Beloved husband of Marilyn (Creutz) McGurr of Carver. Loving father of Albert McGurr and his wife Carol of Jacksonville, FL, Karen and her husband John Bresnahan of Pembroke, and Dennis and his wife Marcia McGurr of Halifax. Brother of Bill Mattson of Key West, FL. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer, Leesha, Richard, and Michelle, and great grandfather of 9. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 10th at the Pembroke Assembly of God, 786 Washington St (Rt. 53) Pembroke at 10:00 AM.
