Obituary of Henry A. Vieira

Henry Alfred Vieira, age 103, passed away on July 1, 2010. He was born in 1906 in Jamaica Plain, and lived in New Bedford for 59 years, where he was a foreman for Fisk Rubber Co. He then moved to Waltham in 1965 and worked in the family Mister Donut business until 1975. He moved to Conifer Green Retirement Community, Kingston and lived there from 1994 - 2007, when he became a resident at The Life Care Center, Plymouth for the past 3 years. Henry's greatest interests were gardening, reading about the U.S., and world history, and visiting with family. Henry is predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Sophie Cabral Vieira. He has a son Henry R. Vieira (Floris) of Kingston, a daughter Rosemarie McGlone (Steve) of Amherst, NY, and a son Joseph Gonsalves (Irene) of Cocoa, FL. Henry is also survived by 5 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 7th at 7:00PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston.
