I served as Superintendent/Principal at the Governor John Carver School for 5 years in the early 80's during Mr. Washburn's tenure on the school committee. I recall that he was bright, passionate, and dedicated to providing the kind of political leadership necessary to help every school aged child in Carver. I am so sorry that I missed his passing and on behalf of all of us who served with him, please accept our most sincere and warm condolences to his family.
