Obituary of Marie H. Thompson

Marie Helen Thompson, of Marshfield, formerly of Braintree, died May 26, 2010. She was 85 years old. Marie was a native of Quincy, the daughter of Donato and Adeline Libertini. She has two brothers, Daniel Libertini of Braintree, and the late Frank Libertini. She leaves her loving and devoted husband of 62 wonderful years, Ralph Thompson, now of Marshfield, her sons Robert Thompson of Hingham, Stephen Thompson of Weymouth, David Thompson of Plymouth, her daughter Bethanne Tarbox of Duxbury, and seven loving grandchildren, Jeffrey, Matthew, Colby, Sheila, Julie, Elise, and Evan. Marie touched and enriched the lives of many. She was an accomplished painter and a lifelong student of the arts. Marie enjoyed life, dancing, family, and gained the benefit of so many special friends. She was truly an inspiration to us all. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, June 1st from 4-7:00PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont St, Duxbury on Wednesday, June 2nd at 10:00AM. Internment will be private.
