Helen P. (McDermott) Gillis of Duxbury formerly of Dorchester passed away April 1st at the age of 86. Daughter of the late Patrick and Anna (Mahon) McDermott, she was the wife of the late Adolphus W. Gillis. Helen is survived by her 3 children; John Gillis of Chatham, Paul Gillis of Rockland, and Maryann Landry of Duxbury. She is also survived by her sisters Theresa Roach of Milton and Catherine O’Brien of Randolph. Helen was a Grandmother of 8, Great-Grandmother of one and had many Nieces and Nephews. Calling hours will be held Monday April 5th from 5-8pm at Shepherd Funeral Home 216 Main St. (Rte 106) Kingston MA. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home Tuesday April 6th at 9am with a funeral Mass to follow at 10am Holy Family Church in Duxbury MA. All other services are private.
