Obituary of Grady L. Peeler

Grady L. Peeler, 86, died on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at home in Pembroke, surrounded by his family. He was born and raised in North Carolina and lived in Maryland for over 50 years, before moving to Pembroke last year. Mr. Peeler served in the U.S. Army in both WWII and the Korean War. Upon his Army discharge in 1957, he worked as a civilian for the Department of Defense, from which he retired in 1983. He also retired as a Lt. Colonial from the Army Reserve in 1975. A loving and devoted father, he is survived by his daughter, Marie Dona Peeler, and his son-in-law, Gerard C. Mulhall, both of Pembroke. The family will receive friends 9:30-10:30 am Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Shepherd Funeral Home 7 Mattakeesett St. (Rte14) Pembroke. Graveside Service will follow at 11:30 am at MA National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
