Karen A. Stairs, 60, of Kingston, passed away Mar.27 at her home surrounded by her family.She was the loving wife of the late Raymond L. Stairs. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Robert W. and Margaret L. (Kennedy) Burt. She was raised in Dorchester and Whitman, where she graduated from Whitman-Hanson High School class of 1968.Karen was a loving, nuturing mother and grandmother (Nana). She devoted her life completely to help raise all of her grandchildren. Karen believed family was everything. Karen is the beloved mother of Raymond Stairs of Carver, Lisa Robertson of Kingston , Kari Stairs of Plymouth, and the late Christopher Stairs.She is survived by her siblings, Robert Burt of Hanson, Walter Burt of FL, Alice Cotreau of Whitman, John Burt of Whitman, and Michele Dillon of Whitman. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joshua Stairs, Jessica Stairs, Jenna Robertson, Lindsay Robertson, Alexis Robertson, Sarah Stairs, and Ryan Wager. She will be sorely missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral from the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St., Rt. 106, Kingston on Thurs. Apr. 1 at 9:00AM, followed by a funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, Kingston at 10:00AM. Interment in Center Cemetery, Pembroke. Visiting hours on Wed. 4-8PM. Donations in Karen's memory may be made to Dana Farber, 44 Binney St., Boston, MA 02115, or Cranberry Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360.
