Frank R. Morrison of Kingston passed away March 15th at the age of 86. Mr. Morrison was born on August 15, 1923. He grew up in Boston and married his childhood sweetheart Edith (Cody) Morrison on March 13, 1944. They spent a wonderful 66 years together. Together with his wife, they raised seven children in Squantum. Frank proudly served in the US Navy during WWII as a radio operator on a destroyer off the shores of England. He continued his service to his country as Commander of the John P. McKeon Post in Dorchester, MA. He was a loyal employee of Stop & Shop Warehouse Readville, where he retired after over 40 years. He retired to Hanson and then to Kingston where he has spent his last 10 years with his beloved wife. In addition to his wife Edith, Frank leaves his children; Frank R. Morrison Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Westwood, Dennis Morrison, Thomas (Jake) Morrison of Carver, Colleen Askin and her husband Jeffrey of Plymouth, Maureen Doherty and her husband James of Wareham, Kevin Morrison and his wife Anne of Hanson and Kathleen Shea and her husband Joseph of Plymouth. He is survived by daughter in-laws; Catherine Morrison of Squantum and Jannine VerHaegen of Plymouth. He is also survived by 17 Grandchildren whom he adored; KellyAnn, Michael, Jamie, Shane, Jesse, Tyler, Nicole, Jarrod, James, Jennifer, Melissa, Kristopher, Sean, Brendan, Patrick, Meghan and Cameron. He will be greatly missed also by his 15 Great Grandchildren. Frank is survived also by his sister Madeline Healy of Winthrop and the late Thomas Newhook of Dorchester. Family and friends are welcome to gather at Shepherd Funeral Home 216 Main St. (Rte 106) Kingston MA at 9am on Monday March 22nd with a Funeral Mass at 10am at Holy Family Church, Tremont St. Duxbury MA. Burial with military honors will take place at MA National Cemetery in Bourne at 12:45pm.
