Dean Richard Sjostedt of Kingston formally of Weymouth died on Feb. 23,2010 in Boston after a courageous battle of seven years with HYPEREOSINIPHILIC SYNDROME . He was 60 yeas old. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Beverly Zanello Sjostedt. Father of David, Katelyn, Zeke and Jennie Sjostedt. Son of Jeanette (Ireland) Sjostedt and the late David Sjostedt. Brother of David Sjostedt, Dale Sjostedt, and Gail Sjostedt-lenello. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, In Laws and many friends. Dean grew up in So. Weymouth, graduated from Boston State College with a Degree in History and then served in the US Navy from 1968-1972. Dean had been employed by Sullivan Tire for the last 24 years. He was a avid reader, sports fan, a devoted husband, father and friend. Calling Hours will be held on Sunday Feb. 28,2010 from 3-8pm at the Shepherd Funeral Home 216 Main St KINGSTON, MA. Family and Friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home on Monday March 1, 2010 at 9am followed by a Mass at St. Joseph's Church in Kingston at 10am. A Reception with the Family will follow after Mass. Burial with Military Honors will be at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 3pm.
