Joseph E. "Butch" Silva of Carver passed away at his home Monday February 1st at the age of 65. He was the loving husband of Patricia A. (Gonsalves) Silva of Carver. Joseph is survived by his children; Gjia Marie Silva of Carver and Marion (Silva) Peterson of TX siblings; Patricia Silva, Cynthia Silva, James Silva, Gerry Silva, Wayne Silva, Gary Silva, Lisa Miranda and the late Donald Silva, Arthur Silva and Shirley Silva. Joseph also leaves behind his grandchildren; Zachary, Christopher and Marissa. He is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, Brother In-laws, Sister In-laws, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins. Joseph was born in Waterbury, CT on May 25, 1944. He was also a Vietnam veteran of the Marine Corp. A Funeral Mass will be held at United Parish Church in Carver on Friday February 5th at 11:30 am with a burial with Military honors to be held at 1:15 at MA National Cemetery, Bourne MA. Calling hours will be held Friday February 5th from 9-11 am at Shepherd Funeral Home 116 Main St. (Rte 58) Carver, MA. Donations can be made in Joseph’s name to; Jordan Hospital Oncology Dept. 275 Sandwich St. Plymouth, MA 02360
