Elizabeth P. Harper, of Carver, passed away on January 22, 2010 at the Jordan Hospital, in Plymouth. Elizabeth, “Betty” as she was referred to by her family and friends lived in S. Meadow Village in Carver. Betty was born in Scituate on September 21, 1921, the daughter of James R. and Elizabeth (McPhee) Scarsilloni. Betty was at her happiest when she was cooking and entertaining her family and many friends. She belonged to many organizations, and held many offices in them, but her favorite was the Rebekah’s to which she still belonged. She was also an active member of the Salvation Army Auxiliary of Plymouth. She leaves behind her daughter Patricia (Pitman) Ritchie and husband Ellis of Ritchie, New Brunswick, Canada. Grandchildren Kimberly Ann Ritchie, Peter and wife Carolyn Ritichie, Paul and wife Karen Ritchie. Great grandchildren Katelyn, Hannah, and Matthew. All reside in New Brunswick, Canada. She leaves her sisters Catherine and husband the late Arthur Montanari of Hingham, Rose and husband late Alfred Damon of Scituate, Patricia Murphy of NH. Brothers Lawrence and wife Vivian Scarsilloni of GA, Edward and wife Mary Scarsilloni of Scituate. Betty is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Betty was predeceased by her parents, sister Mary Cappuchio, brother James Scarsilloni, her first husband Donald R. Pitman (co-owner and V.P. of J.C. Pitman + Sons, Inc. Bow, NH) and second husband Ralph T. Harper owner of Harper Construction, Concord, NH. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Salvation Army and/or your local Animal Shelter. Internment will be private.
