John J. (Joe) Hart, of Kingston (Carver and Braintree), died on January 18, 2010, at age 87. Beloved husband of Ruth P. (Donohue) Hart. Devoted father of John J. III and his wife Kathleen of Plymouth, Gary J. and his wife Anne of Reading, Jacalyn A. Masi and her husband Paul of Winchester, Jean Cairo and her husband Carmen of Lemont, Illinois, and Christopher P. and his wife Lisa of Plympton. Loving grandfather of twelve. Predeceased by brother Thomas. Survived by sister, Kathlyn M. Kahle and her husband Robert of Millbrae, CA., and sister-in-law Patricia Hart. Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. WWII Army Veteran. Retired manager of Boston Five Cents Savings Bank. Long-time Braintree Finance Committee member, former member of both St. Clare’s Parish and the Knights of Columbus, past treasurer of South Braintree Little League. Funeral mass 10 a.m., Friday, January 22, 2010, at Blessed Kateri Tekawitha, Plymouth. Visiting hours 3-7 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main Street (Rt. 58), Carver. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Wingate Heathcare Employee Emergency Relief Fund (to aid many of John’s attendants, who have suffered loss due to the earthquake), 17 Chipman Way, Kingston, MA 02364 or the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St., Boston, MA 02210.
