Charles E. Dion, of Plymouth. January 6, 2010. He was 61 years old. Charles was born in Los Angeles, CA, and raised in Whitman. He attended Whitman-Hanson High School, and is a graduate of the class of 1966. Following his graduation from high school, he attended East Coast Aero Tech, and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy. After his discharge from the Navy, Charles went to work for 36 years, as an airline mechanic, first for Allegheny Airlines, which later became US Airways. He retired in March of 2009. Charles worked for many years as a flight instructor at local airports. He enjoyed traveling with his family to Arizona, Florida, and his favorite St. Marten. Charles enjoyed his “toys”, especially his Corvette, and his Harley. The love of Charles life was his family, and his many supportive friends. Beloved husband of 34 years to Doreen Dion. Loving father of Matthew Dion and his wife Marni of Onset, and Mark Dion and his wife Amy of Duxbury. Son of C. Lorraine LeClerc and her husband Normand of Bridgewater, and the late Henry Dion. Brother of Robert Dion of Manomet, David Dion of AZ, Stephen Dion of Raynham, and Lisa LaCombe of FL. Charles is also survived by “Grampy’s little pumpkin” Addison Dion. Memorial visiting hours will be held on Saturday, January 9th from 3-7:00PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 10th at 12:00PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to. Richard J.
