Obituary of Lawrence D. Dwyer

Lawrence D. Dwyer (Larry), passed away at the V.A. Hospital in Brockton after a courageous battle with brain cancer on December 14, 2009, he was 79 years old.
Mr. Dwyer was born in Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth High School, class of 1948. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sgt, and he also worked for General Dynamics, and the U.S. Postal Service. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, crossword puzzles, and trips to Foxwoods.
He leaves his beloved wife of 56 years Eleanor Jean (Reyenger), and two sons, James F. Dwyer and his wife Theresa of Sutton, Lawrence D. Dwyer and his wife Pamela of Chesapeake, VA, and his daughter Thelma J. Silvey and her husband Kenneth of Kingston. Grandfather of five grandsons, one granddaughter, and one great grandson. He also leaves a sister Rose Trudell of Georgia, and a brother John William of Florida. Mr. Dwyer is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 17th from 4-8:00PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. (Rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 18th at 11:00 AM at the Shepherd Funeral Home. Internment will be at the MA National Cemetery in Bourne.
